Alzheimer's & Aging: Our Fragile Mind

An evening program with New York Times Best-Selling Author of Still Alice, Lisa Genova and featured panelist Marsel Mesulam, MD., Director of the Cognitive Neurology and Alzheimer's Disease Center at Northwestern University.

Keynote speaker Lisa Genova will highlight the effects of Alzheimer's on the patient and their family, as well as the changes inside the brain. Featured panelist Dr. Mesulam will discuss the latest scientific and research advances, prognosis and treatment of Alzheimer's. The Alzheimer's Association Greater Illinois Chapter will also be represented on the panel, to address questions regarding care, training and education for direct caregivers. The program will be moderated by Julie Schneider, MD, Associate Professor of Neurology and Neuropathology at Rush Medical Center.
