Where did you find out about the Chicago Scuba Meetup Group?

Got an email through UASC / Underwater Archaeological Society of Chicago

If you are a diver, what is the best dive experience you have ever had?

When we went down to the Keys we decided to dive The Spiegle Grove! When we arrived at the wreck site we had 6'-8' swells and 3 knott currents! It was one of the most challenging dives I have ever done!!!! We were like "Flags on a flag pole" on the mooring line and the current continued all the way down to 140'. It was an awesome dive On an incredible wreck and the "rodeo" climb to get back on the boat was just as challenging. While we were on our way down to the Keys- we stopped in Crystal River and rented a private house boat for the day and swam with the Manatee! Both of these were equally awe-inspiring!!!!!!!!! Non-diving- it was the coolest, when John Chatterton called to congratulate me on completing my DiveMaster cert- Thanks to my girlfriend! Most recently- diving the Thomas Hume and The Northerner Wrecks with this group were just INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! OK- diving with the Sharks and Dolphins in Roatan was just as INCREDIBLE?!?!?!?!?!?!

Why did you join the Chicago Scuba Meetup?

To meet and dive with other people in the local area and internationally!

If you are a diver, where have you dived?

Everywhere and anywhere I can! Florida- Key Largo- Crystal River, Catalina Island California, Coronado Islands Mexico- and the entire Yuchatan Coast, Cenote/Cave diving around Tullum Mexico, Roatan, Bonaire, Curacao, Cayman Brac, Ohio- Gilboa Quarry, Illinois- Great Lakes Wreck Diving, Indiana Waters, Michigan Waters, Wisconsin Waters. Working on expanding this list!!

Are you certified? If so, when were you certified? How many dives have you logged?

I was certified at Haigh Quarry in the fall of 2010. I am a fairly new diver but I am a dive gluton!!!! I am well over 750 dives and a solo certified- master diver/ DiveMaster/ Assistant Instructor with countless specialties.

I am a member of PadiPro, SSI /SDI/TDI, Dan, Oceans for Youth, and love diving! I am an Assistant Instructor/Divemaster.

What Robert H. H. is saying about this Meetup Group
