We're overdue a couple thank you's... just want to mention them now. Thank you to Pat Shiplett for conducting a terrific SWOT business assessment in November. This was invaluable advice from a seasoned professional... thank you Pat! And thank you to Becky Davis for co-ordinating a very fun holiday party last week at the Holiday Club. I had a kick a** time... hope you did too! Check out the photos (snapping fool that I am!):

Join us January 8 when Brad Parbs will share his favorite Wordpress design and development tools. Who is Brad Parbs, you say? Brad Parbs is a designer/developer immersed in Wordpress. A number of us heard his terrific talk on responsive design at Chicago's Wordcamp. He's a core contributor to the WP development team and creates custom plugins and some plugins many of you may already be using!

Brad will share his work method for developing for WordPress. Many of his tools may fit into your own workflow. Whether you get down and dirty with the command line, or prefer graphical interfaces, you'll come away with quite a few new tools to play around with. This presentation is appropriate for designers and developers and especially those that wear both hats!

Show and Tell: Elliot Post, one of our newest members, has developed a custom PHP application/content management system. He will show us the ins and outs of how it works, demonstrating his brilliant knowledge of PHP!

My very best wishes to all for a wonderful holiday season. I look forward to the new year and hanging out with a terrific group of talented folks!

For people looking for a Windows screenshot app, after a bit of digging I'm going to suggest trying Greenshot ( which is open source, integrates with a bunch of upload options, and seems to have solid features (including living in the system tray) - definitely seems better than Skitch on Windows.
