I really liked reconnecting - it was good for me and the moral support is wonderful!

Great way to meet other people and bounce ideas back and forth to help us all be in less pain :) Plus it helps to be around others who can understand the way we feel.

It would be great to get together at another site on a regular basis. I'm volunteering to seek out someplace else if you like. Since this was my first time, is Sunday afternoon the best time for everyone, or do you alternate days/times?

The group is wonderful, I'm really glad I found it. Struggling with fibromyalgia is difficult especially since no one in my family has it and most of my friends have never heard of it. I've lost friends because of it, so I was not only looking for more friends in the area, but ones that understand what I'm going through. I think this group is really going to be a great help!

It's a good group of people willing to share what has worked or not worked to deal with the pain and fatigue we all feel.

Well the group helps not only people like me; but others such as my boyfriend have a better understanding of those that seem different than us. It was a great meeting place and if you have enough energy, then you can stop by the lake like we did. I took some pictures at the doggie beach after the meeting. The meeting is a chance to meet friends and hangout having brunch with new people in the area. Even though it begins a bit early; it is still a nice head start to the day! My thing too is that I like to eat meals with people rather than alone and this was a great opportunity for me. I am sure the seating was a bit uncomfortable for some (even myself), but may I suggest we try to find a booth area for some of us. Otherwise, I can always come prepared! If others joined this meetup group, then I think it would change a lot of people's minds about a few things, they can meet different friends and maybe suggest some helpful advice to me and some other group members.
