draftRPG: One Knight Stand

You've asked for it, you've clamored for it and now we're doing it! Chicago Game Lovers is proud to present draftRPG: One Knight Stand - an evening of RPG one-shots! Join us at Mad River Bar & Grill at 6:30 to play through samples of roleplaying games, from D&D to Call of Cthulhu to experimental games too! Eat, drink and be merry among like-minded role-players and get to know some new RPG systems.

Sessions will take anywhere between one and three hours, depending on the GM/DM in charge of the session. Tickets will be used to secure your seat at the table but fear not adventurer, they're free and just used to keep things organized. You can see a listing of available tickets on Eventbrite at We only ask that you get tickets for sessions you know you'll be participating in and don't double-book yourself. Pick a session and go for it!

So what should you bring? Well dice would be helpful but we'll have some on-hand for folks to use. Something to write with would be helpful too. DMs/GMs scheduled to run games should bring everything they need to run their session from pre-generated characters, adventures, maps, miniatures and rulebooks/pages. Come prepared and adventure proper!

I can run an AD&D event, which will take 3-4 hours, and I can accommodate up to 6-8 players. Game is basically 2E. I have some available characters, but will accept more recent characters, with some mods.

Hi everyone! I'm just about ready to get the ticket page live, I just need confirmations from anyone wanting to run one-shots. Can you please send me the following information either on here or to [masked]:

    1. What game you're running
    2. How long each session will take
    3. How many players each session will accommodate I see James below already has outlined games but I need that other info as well. Likewise from Wizard I need some info. Ross, you too. Heck, ANYONE that wants to run one-shots get back to me ASAP and I should have the tickets live by end of day. Talk to you soon!

I can run Four-Color Heroes. I'll be using the same adventures from C2E2 but chances are you only played in one, if any.

I may also have a demo of Chrysalis (Space Opera) or Fast Cars, Hard Fists, Cool Steel (Action Movies) -- two other games that are either in or nearing Alpha Stage.

Since the mentioned site isn't available, I suppose there are no scheduled events, so far. I'll be there anyway, and hope to bring an AD&D 2E one-shot.

I can't even find it in a search of eventbrite?

I, too, cannot access the eventbrite site. "This Event is Currently Unavailable."

It looks like the Eventbrite site isn't available; is there another way to sign up for sessions?

Tried to get to that site to find out what events are available, notice said site isn't available. Are you still looking for events? I've got a couple of AD&D events that I can run as one-shots.
