The Chicago-Area Scala Enthusiasts (CASE) Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

  • May 17, 2012 · 5:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Meeting Topic: Laziness and Monads

It's a double feature: Bill Pollock will talk about laziness in Scala, and David Orme will lead an introductory discussion on monads. Scala newbies are definitely welcome!

Please Note: We're at a new location this month. Thanks to Braintree for having us.

Note: As always, you must RSVP with a real name (or email it to us separately) so we can give your name to the building security ninjas in order to enter the building. Please do so by noon so we can order the right amount of food. Thanks!

It was quite interesting learning about lazy evals and monads. Both speakers were quite good, thank you! Coming from an Objective-C and Ruby background, my curiosity about Scala is piqued furthermore after listening to William's and David's presentations.
