What are your favorite Chinese dishes and foods?

I really like Beijing duck! it makes me happy and tastes good!!! for me, it is not greasy at all.

How would you describe your level of Chinese? (Eg it's my native language OR I don't speak it OR I learned some dialect from my family but little Mandarin, OR I can speak a few words, simple conversations, etc.)

Even though I studied chinese for several years and I've been in China for a year, I don't usually speak Chinese so I think I can speak with Chinese people with simple expressions. I think I need to speak in Chinese and learn about grammar and vocabularies.

What kind of events and activities would you be interested in? What would you like to do at our events?

I really like to have a conversation with people so I hope to speak more. and I want to share cultures from one's country such like watch movies, read books, or do outdoor activity etc.

What could this group provide for you that no other Meetup could?

It could be a space which share one's interests, especially about China. And it also could give a help to gather people in DC, I think it is very important because we can get an opportunity to know each other well:)

Where did you grow up? How did you learn Chinese? Tell us your story.

I grew up in Incheon, South Korea, and I've studied Chinese since I went to highschool. but I studied it one hour per week so I didn't have enough time to be fluent in Chinese. After entering college, I decided to go to China to experience some cultures of China and learn about Chinese language. I traveled a lot in China and I am still eager to study Chinese more.

Hi! Nice to meet you! I am a student who studies English in DC. I've been to China to study Chinese for a year so I am VERY interested in Cninese language and cultures. And hopefully, I REALLY want to know people who have same interest as me.
