  • The Treatment of Lyme & Stealth Pathogenic Infections w/CM -Hillary Thing
The Treatment of Lyme & Stealth Pathogenic Infections with Chinese Medicine -Hillary Thing We all want to be masterful at helping our patients get better – but what do we do when our best efforts don’t have enough impact on the tough cases - such as Lyme patients and others with complex inflammatory and infectious disease? Lyme and similar entrenched infections are rapidly on the rise across the world, and especially in the northeastern US. The real problem is not the effectiveness of the tools of Chinese medicine. It’s in our ability as practitioners to: 1. Recognize these underlying causes of complex chronic disease; 2. Manage the (overwhelming) complexity; and 3. Know how and when to wield the tools of natural medicine for the most powerful results. The effective treatment of Lyme and similar complex chronic diseases (such as chronic yeast or parasite infection, auto-immune disease or CFS) requires a strategic and systematic approach that creates a flexible yet clear treatment plan in spite of the chaos of the disease. In this talk, Hillary will unpack this approach to help you intelligently navigate Lyme disease cases from beginning (clinical diagnosis) to end (the final phases of regeneration and recovery). We’ll use case examples, discuss the use of acupuncture, herbal medicine and other effective treatment modalities, followed by a lively Q & A. Hillary Thing, LAc. is a holistic medicine practitioner with 2 decades of clinical experience. Lyme disease became her specialty 10 years ago after her husband suffered repeated bouts of Lyme and co-infection. Hillary now trains other health professionals through a year-long professional training, the Holistic Lyme Practitioner Mentorship. She & her associates treat patients both in-person at Accord Acupuncture & Herbs in High Falls, NY and internationally via telemedicine. Hillary also speaks at scientific and holistic medical conferences throughout the US, and is currently considered a leading expert in the field of holistic Lyme treatment.
