Essential Oils is back by popular demand. We sold out the last Essential Oils and members were clamoring for another one... here it is! with Paul Kempisty, L.Ac.

Therapeutic-grade essential oils are valuable tools for healing as they represent the purest distillation of each plant's healing properties. While many people recognize the soothing effects of a sweet fragrance on the mind, essential oils also have profound anti-microbial, immune-stimulating, oxygenating, and anti-inflammatory properties, to name a few. Essential oils can be inhaled or applied to the skin, and in this way they bridge the gap between the body, mind and emotions. Essential oils can be combined into formulations that address both simple symptoms and complex conditions, much like the use of herbs in traditional Chinese herbal formulas. Patient delight in the tactile nature and portability of their essential oil remedies.

This meet-up will introduce the student and practitioner of Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and massage into the practical applications of Aromatherapy in a clinical setting. Attendees will be encouraged to appreciate essential oils as easily implemented extensions of their current therapeutic tool box, and some treatment strategies for common ailments will be discussed.

Paul Kempisty is a New York State licensed Acupuncturist, a Board certified Herbalist and a Reiki Master.
He has studied and practiced medical aromatherapy for 13 years and has combined it with Chinese medicine and Acupuncture for over 6 years.
His training in Traditional Chinese Medicine was received both in the United States and China: Graduating from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York, and continuing in China with special studies in oncology and gynecology. Upon returning to the US, Paul worked closely with western medical oncologists/hematologists, providing complementary health care counseling based on Traditional Chinese medicine approaches within a western chemotherapy based clinic.
Currently, Paul runs a private practice in New York City where patients seek treatment of common ailments, gynecology and fertility as well as complementary care during and after orthodox cancer treatments. Paul also teaches Reiki and lectures at Mount Sinai School of medicine on the subject of Traditional Chinese medicine and the integration of Chinese medicine within the field of orthodox western medical practice.

All our Meetups are essentially free! Attendees will be given a coupon of $15.00 toward purchases at Kamwo's Online Store; you must be present in order to redeem coupon.
