Dui Yao - The Art of Combining Chinese Medicinals
Dui Yao refers to the pairing of Chinese medicinals. These parings offer valuable insight into the ways effective formulas are created and modified. In Chinese medicine, it is typical to add two medicinals when modifying a base formula. Knowledge of these dui yao combinations allows for modifications that produce more elegant and effective formulas. Come on a 90 minute journey into the world of Dui Yao with Daniel Camburn, an experienced and very respected practitioner of Chinese Herbal Medicine. Daniel will discuss popular Dui Yao combinations using clinical examples that you can apply directly to your herbal practice. This is a lecture that you do not want to miss.

Daniel Camburn is New York State licensed and Board Certified in acupuncture and clinical herbal medicine. He has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine since 1997. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. Subsequently, he earned his Masters of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City.

After graduating, Daniel traveled to China and Tibet to continue his studies. In Tibet, he studied internal medicine in Lhasa. He then traveled to Chengdu, China, to study at China?s premier herbal university. Daniel was a full time faculty member at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine for three years. In addition to teaching acupuncture and herbal medicine, he supervised students during their clinical rounds at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine?s healthcare clinic.

Daniel headed up Pacific College of Oriental Medicine?s clinical internship program at Yonkers General Hospital in Yonkers, New York. He was the Director of Acupuncture at Fortune Society and Greenwich House, both located in New York City. Daniel is currently writing three books on Chinese medicine. He has written numerous articles and continues to lecture frequently on the subject of health, wellness and traditional Chinese medicine.
