Meetup at the Firehouse Grill

Some have expressed interest in a more northern location for meetups. We'll be trying out The Firehouse Grill this meetup, and if people like it, it may become a regular location. This is otherwise similar to our other restaurant meetups.

Atheists, Agnostics, Humanists and Freethinkers meet here. New people join every month, and we all wear name tags (no quizzes). Check the Message Board for current hot topics. This is a purely social gathering. No agenda, no speaker, no rules of order. If you'd prefer a bit more structure, please check the calendar for lectures, FIG meetings, and other events.

I agree about the time; traffic WAS bad. I also noticed that most of us did not eat (including me) and I'd like to suggest that those who don't, would leave at least a $1.00 tip for the serving staff. I think we'll be welcomed back more readily, than if we just use up a lot of their space. I realize that in the case of The Firehouse, we were outside with a lot of unused space, but just the same I think it would be a gracious thing to do. (We might need to be Inside next time!!) (:)

Definitely. I liked the square seating formation. Good food and service.

The meetup was awesome. I really liked the square formation so we could all hear and see each other. Beginning with introductions of ourselves was brilliant as I got to hear everyone's stories and how they got there. Excellent location. Thanks Chris for suggesting it. Huge outdoor patio and great food and we even had visitors at one point as the ducks from the pond walked up to greet us and share their views on the existence of a creator.

Well, I wanted to attend, but a friend has asked me for some help with a ride tonight. Sorry! Hope you all have a good time, and I might make it later, but it would be like 7:30 or 8:00, if folks are still around. If I don't make it, I hope to see you guys next time.

This was my first time Meeting with this group. Nicest evening I've had in a long time. What a pleasure to spend time with open-minded, like-minded people.

Sue - We believe you left your glasses there - a pair was on the table where you were sitting; the waitress ran after you but couldn't find you in the parking lot. They are at the desk. Marilyn

YAY... finally a meetup closer to home. Next, we need to have a Westide or Tri-county movie night and a Tri-County area meetup.

Very pleasant meetup. Went around the table and talked a lttle about ourselves at Chris's prompt. It was something new and seemed nice and appropriate for the setting.

Holy shit traffic on 71 is ridiculous!

    3 · August 27, 2013

    • Kevin G.

That was ridiculous. My drive home was 20 minutes as opposed to the 40 minutes it took to get there. So worth it though.

Great location. We had a large part of the outdoor patio to ourselves. Food and service also rate high here.

I will be there even though it's in BFE and not centrally located to downtown. :-)

Does this replace the Hoffbrau meetup?

    August 21, 2013

    • Jeff

No, we're just trying to see if we can maybe expand our calendar from 2 weeks a month, to 3, and see if we can get something going that is easier for folks on the north side of Cincinnati to get to (thinking maybe some folks find it difficult to make it to the N. Ky meetups).

      2 · August 21, 2013

the Hofbräuhaus meetup is not being replaced lol

Norwood, Kenwood, St. Bernard are almost in the center of the I275 Circle. Why not make it reasonable for everybody???????

I am planning on coming soon, and would love it if the meet-ups were in this central area!!

Good choice. Kentucky is too far of a drive.

    3 · August 20, 2013

The religiously based Reality Tuesday Café is within walking distance. That would be a hoot. Regarding crossing the river, Jeff, you sound like my northern Kentucky friends that I tease. It appears that the river is a bane to residents of both sides. Being someone who has driven all the way to Indy just to see a band or a movie that wasn't coming here, my attitude is that I go where the party is. It will take me about an hour to get to Blue Ash from where I work but I will be there with bells on because I am glad to just have the opportunity to meet with other non-believers in such a conservative area.
