New Flywheel Website!

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to show folks our new website:

We built it with a heavily modified version of the twitter_bootstrap theme, and also using the LESS module for stylesheets - especially where we were customizing twitter bootstrap variables.less and compiling our .less files with the bootstrap ones so we could use parent variables, mixins, etc (I will be writing an article on this shortly!). It was a blast to build! Also, its almost totally inline editable using context, beans (field able block types), field collections, etc. which is a lot of fun.

I did a similar build with http://coopresear... except that, in that case, I just used Omega and LESS.

Coming soon are a few important things, namely our blog where we will regularly post helpful articles about Drupal modules and thumeing and projects we are working on in the Drupal community (aside from Node.JS articles, general javascript articles, and other helpful articles about open source software). Additionally, a gallery of our work and a jobs section are coming (yes indeed! we are looking for experienced Drupal 7 developers - entity API and field API experience are a plus!).

At the next meet up, I'd like to learn more about what folks are interested in learning, and see what help we can provide. I would like to show people how to use Omega, Delta and Context in more depth not only for layout but for contextual loading of stylesheets and javascript, general theme settings, etc. I would also like to show LESS to anyone who is interested in cutting theme development time in half (for example, I designed and built the theme for coopresearchproject.org in 5 hours!)!

Let me know if you have any questions or would like to learn more!
