Thanks for joining! What brings you to our group?

Living on the far east side of Cleveland, I may not ever be able to attend a group meeting, but I thought this may be a good way to get connected with other writers and people with similiar interests. I would enjoy meeting and talking with others who enjoy writing like myself, whether their goal is to get published or they write just for fun. Talking about my ideas to others encourages me and inpsires me to continue to write. I am sure I can also learn so much from listening to others as well.

What would you like to accomplish in your writing each month?

I would like to be able to get two or more pages of my comic book script written a month.

What is, or are the things that hold you back from your writing goals? When you write, do you write fiction, non-fiction? What categories does your writing land?

The number one thing that holds me back from reaching my writing goals is time. I work long hours at work and since I sit infront of a computer at work 10 hours a day, the last thing I want to do many times is go home and do the same. Long hours at work and continue to work towards my fitness goals take the biggest chunk out of my time every week. Sitting at a desk all day, it is important I take time to exercise. I think lack of inspiration and encouragement rank towards the top as well. When I have someone I can talk to about what I am writing or my ideas, the more excited I get about what I am working on. More ideas also seem to come my way when I am sharing with others. Sometimes I get frustrated because expressing my thoughts and ideas down on paper does not come easy for me. Also, not having an artist to bring my words to life can be discouraging. When I working with an artist and he was sending me character sketches and such on a regular basis, it was easy to write.

As a condition of acceptance, to help Member Authors, are you willingto purchase one Member Title a month from Amazon, read it and review it? Yes or No?

I have a screenplay in the works (though due to the subject matter hitting close to home I haven't touched it in years) and have been working on an on-going comic book series of my own creation. During the winter months is when I spend most of my time writing. Weekends and evenings are when I write the most. The comic book script I am working on would end up in the "mature readers" section of a comic book shop.

Are you published? Have you published? Do you want to publish? Have you considered Self-Publishing?

No, I have never been published. Yes, I would like to get published one day. No have not considered self publishing. Image Comics is a comic book company that welcomes submissions and my goal is to be able to submit and pitch my work to them one day. But, comic book companies do not accept submissions without being accompanied with art. Finding an artist is very challenging.

Hi, my name is Michael. Though I have been attempting to write for many years I would consider myself a beginner. In the past I have worked on writing a screen play and more currently have been working on a comic book for mature readers.
