Details

No is the true story about a vote to remove Chile's Pinochet from office. I have been hearing about this film for a long time. Yes, it is only 4 days after the film festival, but the story line is riveting.

6:00 EATS

The Tavern company is a few blocks across the street from the theater. It is about a 5 minute walk. They have good bar food.

Tips for improving your restaurant experience:

Print a map or enter the address in your GPS ahead of time.
Bring CASH to pay for your meal. When you arrive, ask to sit at the "Movie Group" table. 7:15 MOVIE

Meet near the entrance door to the theater 5 minutes ahead of time or look for the group inside the theater or meet us afterward by the door.

After Movie discussion

We may head over to the LEMON GRASS next door to discuss the film more.

DESCRIPTION

In 1988, Chilean military dictator Augusto Pinochet, due to international pressure, is forced to call a plebiscite on his presidency. The country will vote YES or NO to Pinochet extending his rule for another eight years. Opposition leaders for the NO persuade a brash young advertising executive, Rene Saavedra, to spearhead their campaign. Against all odds, with scant resources and under scrutiny by the despot's minions, Saavedra and his team devise an audacious plan to win the election and set Chile free.

NOTE TO FIRST TIME GOERS
If this is your first movie with the group, there is no fee to attend.

This group has been successful partly because members have a genuine interest in meeting fellow independent movie goers. We don't always know where to look for you, especially first timers. Consider posting your picture and printing out the pictures of the attendees to help find everyone easier.

We have multiple meeting places:

Entrance door to the movie in the theater hallway 5-10 minutes before the movie starts By the entrance door or ticket office after the movie Reserved table at the restaurant under the name "Movie Group" We don't always sit together in the movie theater but if you see a bunch of people talking about good movies they have seen, it is probably us. Please join in. We are always happy to get new people involved.

NOTE TO ALL
In the world of Independent films, it is recommended that you check back a few days before the event to make sure the movie, restaurant, location or time has not changed.
