Details

The one film that kept coming up at the Film Festival that they loved was "Caesar". To be honest, I heard so many good comments about the film, I didn't even check Rotten Tomatoes. I just checked now and it is 91, not to include the numerous awards it has won. This Italian film is a winner to go see.

3:15 Hessler Fair

The Hessler is one of those festivals that is worth an hour visit. You can park at the Cinematheque and walk over there in 5 minutes. I will be standing out at Ford and Hessler Road Fair entrance (hopefully) at 3:15 if you want to walk around with us.

NOTE: It is looking like i won't be able to make it at 3:15 but feel free to enjoy it yourself.

4:30 MOVIE

Meet near the entrance door to the theater 10 minutes ahead of time or look for the group inside the theater or meet us afterward by the door.

6:15 EATS

If the weather cooperates, it is a 12-15 minute walk to Valerio's in Little Italy. Parking is on your left just past the railroad underpass. They are located at 12405 Mayfield (north side). (216)[masked]

Tips for improving your restaurant experience:

Print a map or enter the address in your GPS ahead of time.
Bring CASH to pay for your meal. When you arrive, ask to sit at the "Movie Group" table. http://www.cia.edu/files/cinematheques/films/detail/caesarmustdie.jpg

DESCRIPTION

The new film from the Italian brothers who directed Padre Padrone and The Night of the Shooting Stars is a fluid, potent blend of realism and theatricality in which actual inmates at a Rome high-security prison prepare for a public performance of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. Winner of the Golden Bear (top prize) at the 2012 Berlin Film Festival and the David di Donatello Award (Italy’s Oscar) for Best Film of 2012.

NOTE TO FIRST TIME GOERS
If this is your first movie with the group, there is no fee to attend.

This group has been successful partly because members have a genuine interest in meeting fellow independent movie goers. We don't always know where to look for you, especially first timers. Consider posting your picture and printing out the pictures of the attendees to help find everyone easier.

We have multiple meeting places:

Entrance door to the movie in the theater hallway 5-10 minutes before the movie starts By the entrance door or ticket office after the movie Reserved table at the restaurant under the name "Movie Group" We don't always sit together in the movie theater but if you see a bunch of people talking about good movies they have seen, it is probably us. Please join in. We are always happy to get new people involved.

NOTE TO ALL
In the world of Independent films, it is recommended that you check back a few days before the event to make sure the movie, restaurant, location or time has not changed.
