Tyler Davidson, a native Clevelander, has produced "Take Shelter, a movie that has been screened at the SunDance and Toronto film festivals. Reviews have been near unanimous (mid-90's on Rotten Tomatoes).
It is with great honor that I can announce that Tyler will be attending our after movie discussions to offer his insight. This is an opportunity to be on the ground floor of what could be the next big movie that makes it to the big time.
This will be the second time we will have met with him. It should prove to be an invaluable experience.
NOTE: YOUR MEMBERSHIP OF $5 MUST BE PAID UP FOR THE YEAR TO ATTEND.
Meet us in the lobby about 10 minutes ahead of time or look for the group inside the theater or meet us afterward not too far from where tickets are purchased.
6:45 EATS AND MOVIE DISCUSSION with Tyler Davidson
We will be meeting Tyler at a place to be confirmed.

According to Vanity Fair, “Take Shelter is already being called an American masterpiece.” Now you can be among the first to see this new movie that was shot in Ohio and acclaimed at Sundance and Cannes. Oscar nominee Michael Shannon (Revolutionary Road), Jessica Chastain (Tree of Life), and Kathy Baker star in the second feature written and directed by Jeff Nichols (Shotgun Stories). It tells of an Ohio working man so plagued by apocalyptic visions that he builds a storm shelter to protect his wife and deaf six-year-old daughter. But will the enclosure protect them from him?
"All in all, this is a movie that confronts its own hard challenges - and feels utterly, uncomfortably relevant in this new Age of Anxiety."
The $5.00 yearly fee (or $1.50 for one movie) goes toward charges incurred for using the MeetUp website. You can access PayPal (see link in left hand column) or pay your fee to the Organizer at the event.

NOTE TO FIRST TIME GOERS
If this is your first movie with the group, there is no fee to attend.
This group has been successful partly because members have a genuine interest in meeting fellow independent movie goers. We don't always know where to look for you, especially first timers. Consider printing out the pictures of the attendees to help you find them easier.
We have multiple meeting places:
- Entrance door to the movie in the theater hallway 5-10 minutes before the movie starts
- By the entrance door or ticket office after the movie
- Reserved table at the restaurant under the name "Movie Group"
We don't always sit together in the movie theater but if you see a bunch of people talking about good movies they have seen, it is probably us. Please join in. We are always happy to get new people involved.
NOTE TO ALL
In the world of Independent films, it is recommended that you check back a few days before the event to make sure the movie, restaurant, location or time has not changed.
