This is a great classic.
Meet by the red chairs on time or earlier. Movie starts at 6:55pm.
Paddy Chayefsky’s most celebrated original screenplay is a sardonic account of an aging TV news anchor (Peter Finch) whose on-air mental breakdown and subsequent rants are exploited by network executives to boost ratings.

"what it does accomplish is done so well, is seen so sharply, is presented so unforgivingly, that Network will outlive a lot of tidier movies."

The T.A.M.I. Show (1964) is one of my favorite rock and roll films I have ever seen. I only wish it was shown on a big screen with great sound. The T.A.M.I. show was a group of two concerts that took place at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on October 28th and 29th 1964 and free tickets were given away to local high school students and they went fast. T.A.M.I. stands for Teen Age Music International. T.A.M.I. show was directed by Steve Binder and they got another film director to do the film editing his name was Kent Mackenzie. Kent made the film I hosted called the Exiles and he went on to teach film-making to high school students.
What so special about this film is the group of artist they got together to play these two shows. You had Chuck Berry, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes mixed in with The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, Leslie Gore and Jan and Dean. This concert happen in a time period where you still had segregated concerts in some parts of the United States This show offered the best of in rock and roll music in 1964. Today marks 9 years that Leslie Gore passed away that is why I thought about this film. Please join me for a discussion of this special rock and roll film on zoom. This film is free to watch on You Tube. I will post the link for the film and film preview.
