The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is presenting a talk by Dr. Berrien Moore III. Dr. Moore is the Chesapeake Energy Corporation Chair in Climate Studies, Dean of the College of Atmospheric & Geographic Sciences, and Vice President for Weather & Climate Programs at the University of Oklahoma. His talk is titled Climate Change: What We Know, What We Think We Know and What We Do Not Know.
The talk focuses on how human activity has significantly altered the environment on a global scale, and how global patterns of temperature and precipitation will change, but how we are still uncertain of the magnitude and timing.
Dr. Moore's presentation starts at 7pm; these events actually begin at 6pm, with appetizers and a cash bar in the lobby. The speakers present at 7pm in Murch Auditorium. If the museum lot is full, parking is available along the street if you can find it. There is also a parking garage across the way at the Botanical Gardens.
These events are difficult to gather everyone together for, so this is a come-as-you-please evening. We usually play these things by ear, and meet up with folks as we see them :)
See you there! :)
