They are crying in their Earl Grey.  I have already been un-friended on FB by one old gal who basically informed everyone she knew that if they voted for Obama they were unAmerican and she abhored them! lol  Naturally, I was my usual kind a sweet self, and blasted her ignorant ancient ass back to the Stone Age!  Now we aren't friends anymore! I'm sooooooo sad!  Piss poor excuses for human beings!

Wow- it's becoming clear that this was a great election for social progressives. Amendments in favor of equality for gay Americans pass in 3 states (first time by popular vote), and amendments to ban fail in at least one state (Minnesota). Measures to repeal "Obamacare" and another to grant special privileges to religious groups fail in Florida...

Two states vote to legalize pot for recreational use. Wisconsin voters have elected the nation's first openly gay U.S. Senator, Tammy Baldwin.

...Who also professes no religion :) Meanwhile, nut Michelle Bachmann narrowly kept her seat, but a good handful of the worst conservative/religious nuts went down in flames- including the "legitimate rape/god's gift" twins, Akin and Mourdock, and the ridiculous Rep. Allen West of Florida.

And all the goofy God talk & posturing didn't seem to have much effect... Anthea Butler of Religion Dispatches writes that "fake God talk doesn't cut it with Americans", but I think maybe it goes beyond. Is the Religious Right truly losing its influence over the American populace in general?
