Re: [humanism-174] Mississippi public high school students forced to hear Christian message

Here is a somewhat more expanded article from Christian News, with good comments like in this exchange-

Kenton Forshee
The article states, "a local church shared messages with the youth about teen struggles and offered hope in Jesus Christ"

There is no "hope in Jesus Christ" for teen struggles. At best, they will attempt to proselytize getting these teens to feel guilty about perfectly normal things and then tell them that they won't burn for all eternity from it if they'll just accept Jesus. This isn't helping them, it's pushing religion on people.

There is hope in Jesus Christ. An eternal hope. Sin only brings bondage and death-a lake of fire for all eternity!

David Windhorst
Oh, pleeze. Had you been born somewhere in Asia you'd most likely be just as enthusiastically proselytizing for some other mythology. Grow up already.

I'm starting to think maybe we should let these idiots secede from the Union.  It's the only way we'll ever actually achieve separation of church and state.
