New Season, New Faces, No Gear...well almost no gear.
Hi Everyone! I don’t know about you, but the changing of the seasons always excites me. The coming of spring is one of my favorite times of the year and I am sure I am not alone!
What better way to enjoy it than to head back to Bushnell Gardens?! Thanks to the great group that went out there last time, they have invited us back.
So here is the deal, we all see some of the great stuff Tim gets with his iPhone, and in talking to him about it, thought it would be fun to challenge you all to leave the DSLR at home and only bring your smart phones.
“But, why?” you may ask.
If you have been to any of Tim’s meetups, you have undoubtedly heard him stress “the power of play.” Picking up a camera, any camera, to experiment is crucial in not only learning new things, but I think it helps keep your level of excitement flying high. I know that it is easy for Tim to play around with any camera he picks up because he knows his gear so well. For me, picking up my iPhone lets me try things in a much more relaxed state of mind because it is so simple and yet still produces some amazing results.
All you need to bring for this is your mobile device. There are lots of toys and apps now on the market, if you have any or are using any apps that you love please bring and show us!
If you need some suggestions on apps to get here are a few in Tim’s arsenal:
Hipstamatic -$1.99 Snapseed - Free True HDR -$0.99 So let’s go have an enjoyable afternoon in the garden, capturing the beauty spring has to offer from a different vantage point. Tim will be there to talk to us about some of the apps he uses and then it is up to us to see if we can change our perspective about the tools we use.
If you are new to the group this is a great way to get your feet wet! Tim has been putting on amazing meetups lately, but I know some of the studio sessions can look overwhelming; it sure was to me at first! So I really hope this can be a great way to get some of our new members involved. We want to meet you!
Here are a few examples as well as a few images of some things you will find at Bushnell Gardens.
