It’s another “long” weekend and you know what that means- another great weekend at Mt Arapiles! All skill levels including beginners are invited for some sweet top roping, and if you are a ROC checked-off leader you’re welcome to join for some trad adventures. *Please mention in the comments if you plan to lead or stick to top-roping.
If you are happy to set and/or check some anchors, please mention this in the comments or shoot me a message. Would really appreciate your time <3
The plan is to carpool to Arapiles on Friday night and camp at The Pines campground until Tuesday rolls around and we sadly have to return home to reality.
Equipment needed:
Climbing helmet, harness and shoes! (leaders to sort out their own trad gear)
Tent
Sleeping Bag
Sleeping Mat
Camp cooking utensils
Food and plenty of water!
Warm clothing (it can get ++ cold in the evening)
Good vibes
You can head to the ROC gear room at 40 Cardigan St Carlton to hire most of this gear (open Tuesday and Thursday nights 6:30-7:30PM)
Trip costs:
Fuel: roughly $40-$60
Camping: $10
Club fees for trip: $10 per day (plus any personal gear that you hire for camping)
*** Car-pooling will be arranged by the trip leader about 1 wee... (see website for more details - http://roc.org.au/trips/trip-info/?trip_id=5821)
See you all there!
