The Container Network Interface (CNI) is a simple specification for connecting containers to an arbitrary network. It makes the connection between diverse networking technologies and Container Orchestrators possible. The CNI standard has grown in adoption over the last two years and has been a CNCF project since May 2017. In this talk, we show how a container-runtime engine attaches a container to network using the CNI standard.
