Fellow cloudsters,

November is coming in full force, with three exciting events for us.

First, there’s Salesforce’s $1,000,000 Hackathon, which takes place November 18 to 21 at Dreamforce, where you compete to build an awesome mobile app using the Salesforce Platform or Heroku. The Hacker Pass is only $99, and you are free to team up with anyone to increase your chances, or go solo to maximize payout: up to you.

Second, you can celebrate Rackspace’s expansion in San Francisco in their brand new workspace, called Geekdom SF. They are throwing a party on Nov 5th and inviting startups and developers to stop by, learn more about Geekdom, and kick it back with them. Party starts at 6pm.

RSVP at eventbrite.com/event/[masked]

Finally, for those of you that always wanted to know more about Go, the language developed by Google, Pivotal (makers of CloudFoundry) is organizing a talk November 6th. Matt Stine of the CloudFoundry team will be talking about his experience using Java and Go on CloudFoundry, Go’s "less is more" approach to language design, and how Java developers can add Go to their toolkits.

Cheers,

Alexander
