Fellow Cloudsters,

I am happy to announce two new talks, both held close to you in the peninsula, at Akamai’s offices in Santa Clara, as well as a new experiment we’re running: opening up meetup organization to the community (that’s you!).

First on May 28, TIBCO founder John Matthon will talk about the taxonomy and complexity of PaaS; how it increases productivity; and what changes it brings about in larger organizations. Register here:

Second on June 6, Google solutions architect Brian Lynch, will talk about Cassandra and how he and his team scaled a ring to 1M requests/sec on Compute Engine. In this presentation, you’ll learn how to tune Cassandra to deliver high performance that scales. Register here:

Lastly, we’d like to experiment with a community-driven model for organizing meetups. If you have an idea for a talk, please reach out to me to see how we can make it happen.
