regular weekend meetups

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • I suggest sometime making regular weekend get-togethers in places in Savannah, like every Saturday afternoon in the same or varying location. It would make it possible for some to find friends with similar outlooks/philosophies.

Savannah is good for me, but maybe to be equitable vary it with somewhere a little further West like Pooler?

What about the Mellow Mushroom in Pooler -- easy access off of I-95 and convenient parking?

Molly McPherson's in Pooler would be a good spot. Closer to Statesboro, Effingham and Savannah. Easy parking and easy to find.

I suggest that whatever location is selected, it be convenient to I-16. I live in Statesboro and while I don't have a lot of difficulty traveling to Savannah, there is a much bigger hassle trying to find a particular location within Savannah. The streets can be confusing and signs are frequently notable for their absence. Even my GPS can get lost. And then there is the parking problem. Perhaps an occasional get together northwest of the city could be arranged.

Not only the above comments but the parking situation is really a pain.

I'm in Effingham but ready to hit Savannah for some like minded conversation and friendship. Tired of debated with Xtians at times I need some time with a supportive group

I'd love to come. My roommates and I are atheists/agnostics. We're SCAD students but some of us stuck around for break and don't have much to do until the winter quarter starts.

Hi, I'm new to the group. When will the next meet-up be?

    November 14, 2012

That sounds awesome. My husband and I live across from the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist (ironically enough) on Abercorn. If we could find a place in historic Savannah that would be great because we could walk to said location.

We need to do this at a local hangout. I'd suggest World of Beer on Broughton Street.
