The Speaker: Nathan Epstein (https://github.com/NathanEpstein) is a software developer at Hacker School and the author of the D3 library Dexter (https://github.com/NathanEpstein/D3xter). He is a graduate of Columbia University’s School of Engineering and a former teaching fellow at Fullstack Academy.

The Talk: Nathan will give an overview of D3.js (http://d3js.org/), the popular data visualization library. He will cover the fundamentals of D3 and walk through building a simple D3 project.

The Workshop: After the lecture finishes there will be a guided workshop where attendees will pair up and build a D3 visualization using a provided dataset. This will be a great opportunity to learn D3 by building something cool with it!

Suggested Knowledge-Level: Some programming experience strongly suggested. Attendees should be comfortable with the basics of JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
