For the 5th year in a row, we’re doing a New Year’s Day dim sum event. This year though, we are going to Paradise Fine Chinese Dining restaurant at Finch and Leslie, which we were at earlier this year and had great dim sum. The dim sum menu here is quite extensive, and there are a lot of goodies, including deep fried shrimp balls, siu mai, har gow, stuffed mushrooms with pork and shrimp, steamed beef balls with sweet corn, BBQ pork puffs, deep fried octopus fingers, stuffed eggplant with tofu and shrimp, taro dumplings with minced chicken, and assorted rice crepes, just to name some of the highlights. Dim sum is always a great start to a new year.
S - $2.85
M - $3.95
L - $4.95

The address is:

The dim sum menu should be passed around the table so that everyone has a chance to make their selections. I would recommend approximately 3-4 dishes per person. Before you send in your order, you may want to count how many dishes you to see if you have too many. If you’re at a table of 12 and you have over 50 dishes, I would cut back a little. You can always order more later.
Subway to Finch. Then take #39 Finch bus to Finch and Leslie. The restaurant is in the shopping plaza at Finch and Leslie.
There will be one bill per table to be divided among those at the table. For this reason, the event has been made as cash only to make things easier. Please expect the bill at the end to come to around $25-30 per person including the tax and tip depending upon what and how much people order.
There is a $2 per person Meetup fee for this event.
If you RSVP “yes” and change your mind about attending, please update your RSVP.
Those who RSVP “yes” are expected to show up.
You are expected to be at the event on time. In situations where you are late and the restaurant is full, your seat will be given away and not held, so please be on-time.
Attendance will be taken at all events and “no shows” will be tracked.
A person may be removed from the group for repeatedly being a “no show”.
A person who changes their RSVP to “no” with less than 3 hours before the start of an event without a good reason will be considered a “no show”.
A person who just briefly shows up at the event but does not stay at the restaurant for the meal will still be considered a “no show”.
