Details

Empire Pass Circuit 9km.
Grade 3 – 4. (Med to Hard)
Approx 3.5 hours
Train - Central - Leaves @ 8.25am.
Arrives @ Lawson approx 10.12am.

If coming by car, head west along the Great Western Highway, turn right into Badgery Cr, just before the road goes over the railway line at Lawson. Drive along Badgery Cr and turn right into Hughes Ave. Drive to the end of Hughes Ave.

Walkers will be here by approx 10.30 after walking from the station.

This is a 9 km 3.5 - 4 hour, grade 3 - 4 bushwalk, with approximately 300m ascent/descent.

After the walk we will adjourn to a local cafe for a well deserved coffee.

The trail will vary from fire trail to narrow tracks along the edge of gully’s, to creek crossing over some slippery rocks. Some of the tracks are a bit overgrown and I expect it may be wet and muddy.

The Empire Pass Track was constructed in the early 1900s, and improved and re-opened on Empire Day, 1913, hence the name. It passes through a beautiful gully of temperate rainforest and visits several delightful waterfalls in the North Lawson area, including Dantes Glen, Fairy Falls, St Michaels Falls & Frederica Falls.

Note There is a $5.00 gratuity for this event.
