C.O.F.F.I.E. Members - Secrets Of Avoiding Atlanta Traffic Corridors (You will be glad you read this!)

Over the past few months, Atlanta's weekend traffic has been more than a slight irritation to many of you trying to get to your destinations on time.
As a gift to you who may be somewhat new to Atlanta, or maybe just unfamiliar with navigating around Atlanta for fear of getting lost, I wanted to share a few valuable secrets with you. This is just because I love my C.O.F.F.I.E. Members so much!

I-85 North from the Cleveland Avenue traveling north has a consistent traffic backup approaching the Langford Parkway ramp. But did you know that you can exit to the right at the Langford Parkway ramp (which NEVER has traffic for some reason), by-pass the traffic backup, and easily merge back onto I-75/85 North approaching the Turner Field and I-20? If you travel this corridor, make sure to try this out.

I-75 and I-85 South into the city has been backed up around Williams Street, but Spring Street has continued to stay light. If you get caught in this backup, you might consider exiting at the 14th/10th Street ramp, adjacent to Atlantic Station, pass the 17th Street Ramp, ride to either 14th Street or 10th Street, and turn left on either of these streets (14th or 10th). Ride over to Spring Street (1st right), turn right onto Spring Street, and ride all the way down past North Avenue (The Varsity is on the right). You can then re-enter I-75/85 close to the Grady Curve.

If the ramp entering the interstate looks backed up, it usually moves pretty fast..there is just one of those red-light/green-light interstate entrance signals at the merge which causes the slight back-up. But it is better than sitting in traffic way back at 10 Street!

Well, I hope these tips help.  Feel free to share these with your friends, and tell them about the value of being part of the C.O.F.F.I.E. Group!
