The DoD Office of Small Business Programs Regional Councils provide year round small business training to support the acquisition process and the warfighter.

Established in 1980, the Department of Defense (DoD) regional councils are overseen by the DoD Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). Regional councils host training designed for government and industry Small Business and Acquisition Professionals who support federal small business programs.

DoD’s regional councils were established to enhance communication between the DoD OSBP and Small Business Professionals supporting federal small business programs.

Training Workshop Topics, Descriptions and Speakers:

Topic: Request for Proposal: Sections L&M - Small Business - Participation and Subcontracting: Focus will be on understanding Sections L&M and how to submit an acceptable Subcontracting Plan and Participation Commitment document the first time, along with post award compliance once incorporated intho the contract.

Topic: Contractor Performance Assessment Report –Writing and Reviews for Acquisition Professionals: Learn the importance of CPAR assessment and compliance review with all terms and conditions in the contract/oder IAW FAR[masked] and FAR[masked], Small Business Subcontracting Plan (when required).
Speaker: Dr. Jeanette Robinson, DAU Professor

Topic: Large Business Round Table for Small Business Liaison Offices (SBLOs): A facilitated panel of Large Business SBLOs will discuss issues and concerns facing Other Than Small Businesses. Questions for the panel from the audience will be accepted as part of the Round Table. Topics may include subcontracting, strategic vehicles, category management, and other concerns that impact the large business industrial base.
