I can't wait for this vegan smorgasboard that will be a feast for the eyes and stomach. Robin Baron who is creating the menu/meal is a culinary artist and I know the meal will be memorable. Come enjoy this feast and your community.

From Silvies:
Everything is available vegan. The items that will be modified for vegan are; eggplant will be served with tahini instead of labne yogurt. Beet salad will be served with out cheese. Dessert will be without the pastries and a variation on the ricotta (probably a vegan gelato, berries and orange syrup).

The Veggie Side of the Israeli Kitchen

On Monday, July 28th, our Silvi’s Kitchen at the corner of Colfax and Elizabeth in Denver will be enveloped in the delicious smells of grilled vegetables, smoked eggplant and fresh-from the oven Laffa bread. Our new Israeli Supper Club features a prix fixe menu of our family’s favorite dishes and optional wine pairings. All dishes are vegetarian (MOST ARE VEGAN-lisa's addition) and will be served family style with seven appetizers, three main courses and a traditional dessert for the table to share.

If you RSVP here you do not need to make a reservation with Silvies. Hope to get a nice group out for this special offering.

Warm Israeli Style Hummus; sweet chickpeas, Turkish garlic tahini, Tunisian unfiltered olive oil

Falafel; signature green herb falafel

Smoked Eggplant;labne, fresh herbs, garlic

Cauliflower Bin Saniya; charred cauliflower, Turkish tahini

Vegetable Salad;tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, radishes, green peppers

Beet Salad; pickled peppers, goat cheese and parsley

Laffa Bread; with olive oil and za’atar

Entrees:

Majadra; rice with braised lentils and caramelized onions

Ghormeh Sabzi;Persian-style braised greens and herbs with chickpeas

Grilled Vegetables;fresh rosemary and date syrup

Laffa Bread; with roasted tomatoes, sumac onions and pine nuts

Dessert:

Flaky butter pastry;sweet ricotta, fresh berries and orange-water honey (OUR GROUP WILL HAVE SOMETHING SPECIAL)

A nearly magical drink that is the perfect balance of sour pomegranate and lime with just the right amount of sugar and Pearl Pomegranate Vodka.
