Ethical Eating Presentation at First Universalist Church in Denver: October 16. First Universalist Church (4101 E. Hampden Avenue) will host Melanie Joy, Ph.D., on Sunday, October 16. The presentation will begin at 1:00 pm. (Vegan appetizers will be served at 12:30 p.m. followed by discussion and dessert at 3:00 p.m.) Dr. Joy is author of Why We Love Dogs, Eat Pigs, and Wear Cows: An Introduction to Carnism. The presentation is designed for people 15 and older. Dr. Joy uses powerful imagery, thought-provoking analyses, and a compelling narrative to advance the cause of ethical eating.
