White House Down

I haven't heard too many great things about this movie but I liked Jamie Foxx and I liked Channing Tatum in 21 Jump Street. Also, if you saw Olympus Has Fallen then expect something very similar with this movie. lol  The movie starts at 18:00 but I should be there from around 17:50.

Film Description:

Paramilitaries storm the White House in this relentlessly thrilling blockbuster. Divorced Capitol Hill cop John Cale (Channing Tatum) is desperate to be assigned to the President's Secret Service Detail. His main aim is to win back the affections of his 11-year-old daughter, Emily (Joey King). But when he fails to get the job, he offers her a tour of the White House instead. Bad timing! An explosion rips through the building, father and daughter are separated, and heavily armed paramilitary thugs swarm through the corridors. Now John finds he must protect charismatic, Obama-esque President Sawyer (Jamie Foxx) as well as saving young Emily. 'Independence Day' director Roland Emmerich blows up the White House for a second time in this breathless action movie! Its winning blend of buddy comedy and incredible stunts recalls the classic 'Die Hard' and 'Lethal Weapon' films. Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx make a brilliant double act as they take on the invaders.

Starring: Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Richard Jenkins, Joey King

Director: Roland Emmerich

Running Time: 131 minutes

Genre: Action, Drama, Thriller
