I have heard quite a few good things about this movie. If you're like me and have heard the same why don't you come along?

Unfortunately this movie is on limited release only and the there is only one Cineworld in London which is showing it and that's Enfield! The movie starts at 19:45 but I should be there from 19:30. I will wait until 19:45 before going inside.

Film Description:

Harrison Ford stars in the inspirational true story of the heroic battle against racism in big league baseball. In 1946, big league baseball operates an unofficial "colour bar" that excludes black players. But Brooklyn Dodgers owner Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford) decides that winning is more important than racial segregation. He also realises that it will take a very special African-American player to overcome the hostility and abuse that will rain down upon him. Rickey selects promising Jackie Robinson (Chadwick Boseman), who's warned to channel his anger into the game. That's quite a challenge for the prodigiously talented Robinson, who's shunned by fellow players, attacked viciously by opponents, and subjected to racist taunts by fans. 'L.A. Confidential' writer Brian Helgeland's moving, meticulously staged period drama takes its title from Robinson's jersey number. Harrison Ford is on top form as the gruff boss, while charismatic Chadwick Boseman gives an engaging performance as the legendary Robinson.

Starring: Chadwick Boseman, Harrison Ford, T.R. Knight, Lucas Black, Nicole Beharie

Director: Brian Helgeland

Running Time: 128 minutes

Genre: Drama
