Silent Meditation: Held before the busy cafe opens, this meditation will be as silent as the surrounding neighborhood allows. Brief Dharma Reflection: A short discussion about one's experience during meditation and how it reflects one's Dharma or spiritual duty. David Sudar is the true host of this meditation session. FREE Hatha Yoga. This class meets in the basement, just like Chiaki's class on Mondays. Enter through the side door facing NE 71st. The door will be propped open, please be no later than 6:45 as the door may be locked. ***** The physical intensity rating for this class is 1.5 out of 3. All levels of experience are welcome to this class. Attendance is free to all. Please Bring: 1. Loose fitting clothing. 2. Yoga mat for yourself. We have some donated mats for class use. 3. Reusable water bottle for yourself. Optional: yoga strap to facilitate some stretching exercises, an old or used belt often works. Optional: yoga blocks to support or make easier some poses. Optional: any yoga gear that you find helpful. Optional: extra yoga mat for a guest or visitor.
This class is inside the school during the school year and is in the dance studio. Enter the main school doors. Turn right and go to the end. Turn left and go to almost the end and find the door to the dance studio on the left. Sometimes during the school year, due to noise in the gym next door or to an event in the dance room, we meet on the second floor in room 214. (When outside during the summer: We are in the grass area in the front right-side area of the school building or the covered basketball area behind the school building rain or shine. WARNING: When we are outside, there is no access to bathrooms. There is no portable bathroom either.) Please come early. The physical intensity rating for this class is 2 out of 3. Schedule This class is dependent upon the school's schedule. We will let you know when the school is closed, because school closings cancel the class.
