Tito’s new album has its roots with the Salsa and Tropical music that have made him an icon. Having performed with famed orchestras such as Orquesta Cimarron, the Hector Lavoe Orchestra and Conjunto Clasico, he set out for a career as a solo artist. His first album Classic, included the hit “Sonambulo.” Throughout his career, Nieves has incorporated English to his recordings defying the language barrier with his versatility and crossover appeal. Included among the timeless are smash hits such as “Can you stop the Rain” and “You bring me Joy.” However, the Latin anthem of the 90’s that sealed his place in pop culture history was “I Like it Like That,” which transformed the original version into an energetic powerhouse with vibrant Latin overtones catapulting him into mainstream success.
