About us
Welcome to our Conscious Men's Hiking Group!
Are you a man who seeks meaningful connections with like-minded individuals while immersing yourself in nature? Look no further! Join us for exhilarating hikes where we combine the serenity of the great outdoors with the opportunity to bond with conscious men just like you. Please continue reading, you'll see why this is not a typical hiking group.
Our group is dedicated to exploring picturesque trails, challenging ourselves physically, and fostering a supportive environment for personal growth and camaraderie. During our hikes, we maintain a quick pace over challenging terrain, allowing us to push a bit and embrace the thrill of adventure. We do a variety of hikes; short, long, easy, difficult, rucks, often in the Middlesex Fells reservations. Sometimes in the NH White Mountains. Occasionally we'll BBQ afterwards (optional and announced ahead of time).
You must be physically fit and experienced in order to participate. Choose events that match your ability. There’s no value in pretending you’re ready for something you’re not - and there’s great value in honest self-assessment. With that being said, a big point of this group is helping men challenge each other in a supportive masculine container. Still, you must have done the prerequisite work in your life in order to be here (emotionally and physically).
Our group welcomes men of all backgrounds who are committed to personal growth, connection, and embracing nature's beauty. Our hikes provide the ideal setting to reflect, recharge, and connect with a community of conscious Men who share similar values.
Common Questions:
- I'm slow, will you wait for me? No.
- Is this a gay group? We truly don't care about your sexual orientation. If you're looking for romance, this isn't your group.
- Is this a "safe space"? This is a space for strong, respectful men - not coddling or emotional fragility. We value honesty, challenge, and compassion - not political correctness.
- The weather is looking uncomfortable, will you still go? Yes, we are not fair-weather men
- Who goes on these hikes [I don't see many here]? There are a bunch of off-platform men that attend. Even if turnout is low, someone is still going. I've been running these hikes for years before bringing them to meetup.
- I'm running late, will you wait for me? Nope, we invite you to hurry up and come find us on the trail.
Is this your tribe? Will you fit in? Here is a bit more that describes us:
- We are Men between the ages of 25-60.
- We know how to share, and we know how to listen.
- We are comfortable in deep conversation, and we're comfortable in silence.
- We strive to embody the mature masculine archetype.
- We act with intention.
- We pay honor to our health by eating healthy and exercising.
- Many of us hike with minimalist shoes, some barefoot.
- Some members choose to hike fasted (i.e., without eating beforehand) as part of their personal discipline.
- We are comfortable being uncomfortable.
- We support growth with sacred plant medicine (we don't use substances on these events).
- We can laugh at ourselves, and we might laugh at you.
- We do not gossip.
- We rarely drink alcohol, we may smoke something occasionally.
- We respect all people but don’t engage in identity politics. We focus on real connection, not labels.
Is this you?
Then join us on our next adventure and experience the transformative power of nature, friendship, and self-discovery. Lace up your hiking shoes, leave the hustle and bustle behind, and embark on a journey that will leave you feeling refreshed, inspired, and connected.
Membership requirements:
- Ensure you are physically prepared for challenging hikes.
- Bring suitable hiking attire and water.
- We are a group of men that holds ourselves to high standards of integrity.
- You are your word. If you RSVP that you are going, and then you no-show, you're not a fit for this group. If you try to show up without RSVP'ing, you're also not a fit.
- Your meetup profile must have a real picture of you, including your face.
