Agreed.   And I am going to add something here for people to think about.   Blacks didn't become slaves in the Western hemisphere because of racism.   Slavery was ubiquitous in the ancient world.   The biggest slavers of all times were always the Arabs and the word "slave" comes from the ethnic Slavs, because so many of them were taken as slaves.   Slavery was minor and dying out in Europe, in large part due to Christianity and another due to the development of free markets.    The first Europeans to bring slaves to the Americas were the Portugese, who had been acting as shippers for the Arabs and realized they could make more money by slave trading.    Over 94% of the slaves brought to the new world were in SOuth America and the Caribbean----the latter was the worst place to be because it was brutal in the cane fields.

The first black to come to what is now the US was a free man, a sailor.  The next group were indentured servants--the vast majority of those were white.    Slavery came later---when some people did not let their indentures go free at the appointed time (It happened ot the Irish too, who were brought over as slaves).   

The first slaver holder in the US area was black and there are over 4,000 documented black slaveholders.    The trade did not begin because of racism but because blacks were better able to work and survive  in the climate.  The racial aspect of it is an outgrowth of a still later time---and the ideas of Darwin (inferior and superior races), Hegel and Marx.    When southern planters began to be tainted by those ideas,  they began to justify slavery, which had always been regarded as a moral wrong and at best a necessary evil.  

The same ideology is pushing racial division (that is what BO taught --a marxist course in race, gender and sexuality).  They win the stupid and those who resent what others have earned instead of developing themselves so that they can do better.   The left always appeals to the worst in man and drags them down into slavery, though they may call it collectivism, marxism, socialism or progressivism.   It's all slavery.   You see it in the disparagement of blacks who don't follow the party line and the suggestion that those who were tradesmen or house works or even business managers during the time of slavery were "race traitors,
 etc. etc.    Evil resentment.    It's the same old totalitarian ideology.   

There was an article a few years ago interviewing Hattie McDaniel---people criticized her for portraying Mammy,  i.e. a nanny/au pair , in Gone With the Wind.     (This was in 2001.)   She said she'd much rather make $300 a day (or week, I forget which, it was 1939) playing a maid than only a few dollars a day being one.  

The people always babbling about race are the racists--99.9% democrats and other leftists---normal people don't care.     The slaveholders in the 1850's (some of them, not all--and the black planters in LA were the worst, cruelest--to show they were different)   manipulated public opinion to stir up racism to get the poor white farmers---who were actually worse off than slaves in some ways---they could not get ahead in a society where slave labor competed with them.    The democrat planters fomented racial resentment to keep in power as the demo-marxists do today.    Prior to that, people pretty much got along.    They had to pass laws prohibiting inter-racial marriage ----you don't pass the law if people aren't doing it.   Frederick Douglass' personal experience shows the change----the lady of his household was teaching him to read with her children---until her husband ordered her not to.  (It's in his book.) 

Decent people are not racist simply because they have slaves and racist people don't always have actual slaves.  

The race baiters need to be confronted and rebuked for the slavers, evil manipulators and totalitarians that they are.  

We have long judged people on the content of their character.   Harry Reid and Nazi Pelousy are as despicable as BO, as is Hillary.   I could list others too, but this is already long.  

Kids in schools tell teachers that they are racist when they tell them to stop talking and do their work.    The answer to that is_-- "If I WERE racist, I'd just let you keep wasting your educational time and keep you ignorant and uneducated."

Any sane person is happier to see someone of any background work hard and succeed---and maybe make life-enhancing or saving innovations.   Any sane person who pays taxes would rather see people of every background working and contributing than have what he works for stolen by govt, and give to lazy people to keep them voting for totalitarians.  

Mark Levin had a great intro to his show on Friday (www.marklevinshow.com)   770 ABC AM 6-9 M-F.     In essence, he talked about how Americans are a good people.    Listen to it, it's great.    And even people who may have negative ideas about black people because of what they see with Sharpton, BO and rioting undisciplined thugee kids don't hate people overall.    They just want to see them work hard and live by the same standards they do---i.e. public decency,  order, kindness.
