Silicon Valley Couples Gourmet Dinner Club Pages

Great food and great people is what this group is all about. We will meet once a month to share a meal at the hosts home. This is a wonderful way to meet other couples, network, pick up new recipes, enjoy great conversations, and just have a good time.

Everyone has to volunteer to host a dinner at least once a year. The host provides a main course and coordinates the theme--wine tasting, murder mystery, Tapas, the host rules! The host must be able to accommodate a table of minimum 6 people comfortably. Everyone else does the rest! One couple brings bread and salad, an appetizer, side dish, and dessert. All dishes should be home made, so bring the recipes to share. Each couple brings one bottle of wine (minimum value of $20). This keeps costs down for everyone, yet the dinners are usually better than most restaurants.

The dishes need not be gourmet, but the more creative you are the more fun it will be to try new things. This group is for couples that like to cook and want to share their food, not a grocery store's or restaurant's food. Please bring your recipes to share with the dinner group.

This group is for couples, and all couples must be over 21 since alcohol will be served. Please include yours and your significant other's names on the profile.

To make it fair for our members, only current (you are on the calendar to host and approved by either organizer or asst. organizers) or you have previously hosted are able to RSVP to upcoming dinners. This decision has been recommended by several members and we will try it this year. If you would like to host in the future....send me a separate email with all the information listed below and I will gladly post it for you. Once you are on the calendar then you will be able to attend future events. The only exception is if 7 days prior to an event there is an opening then you may RSVP as a non-host.

The following information must be provided before I can post a dinner. If you plan to host please send me the following information...

1) Yours and your spouses names
2) Your address
3) The number of people you can accomodate
4) The date and time for your dinner
5) Your theme for the dinner
6) Your main dish
7) Ideas for others to bring

You may be deleted from the group for the following reasons:

1) You do not honor your RSVP and do not show up for an event
2) You change your RSVP with in 7 days of the event with no explanation sent to the host and group organizers
3) You are not an active member for more than two months
4) You do not volunteer to host a dinner within a year
