Second Saturday Green Lake Walk

Back, by popular demand.

Please note I have moved the time ahead to 9am to beat the summer heat.

A once a month walk around Green Lake. Let's gather on the second Saturday of each month to celebrate Corginess. We can do a lap (or two for those needing to get really tired out) and accumulate our miles to Cardiff. This is a central location and able to accomodate many.  We can gather for coffee before or lunch afterwards, but plan on starting the walk at 10am and spending an hour or two walking.  (extreme weather will cancel, normal Seattle rain - probably not).

Green Lake is one of Seattle’s most beloved parks. Its expanse of water and green space in the center of a dense urban neighborhood draws thousands of people daily from all over the city. The park serves as a natural preserve for hundreds of species of trees and plants, as well as numerous birds and waterfowl. The newly reconstructed 2.8-mile path around the lake provides a perfect recreational spot for runners, bikers, skaters and walkers. Many others use the athletic fields or visit the park for boating, picnics and swimming. Also, make sure to visit the Green Lake Small Craft Center.

Great turnout. Still amazes me that everybody is amazed to see all the corgis. Shouldn't they be used to us by now? In a few months we will be downright annoying to those joggers and speedwalkers having to dodge our speed bumps.

Pippin and I had hoped to attend our first meetup today, but circumstances changed at the last minute and we can't attend. But we DEFINITELY will attend the next meetup, we love to meet other Corgis and their people!

We will be meeting at 9 am to start walking. Meet by the rowing stands and I walk counter clockwise if you are running late and want to meet us along the way. There is also parking up at woodland park above the tennis courts if parking is tight. It is just a short walk down.
    See you in the morning
