Second Saturday Green Lake Walk

Back, by popular demand.

A once a month walk around Green Lake. Let's gather on the second Saturday of each month to celebrate Corginess. We can do a lap (or two for those needing to get really tired out). This is a central location and able to accomodate many.  We can gather for coffee before or lunch afterwards, but plan on starting the walk at 10am and spending an hour or two walking.  (extreme weather will cancel, normal Seattle rain - probably not).

Green Lake is one of Seattle’s most beloved parks. Its expanse of water and green space in the center of a dense urban neighborhood draws thousands of people daily from all over the city. The park serves as a natural preserve for hundreds of species of trees and plants, as well as numerous birds and waterfowl. The newly reconstructed 2.8-mile path around the lake provides a perfect recreational spot for runners, bikers, skaters and walkers. Many others use the athletic fields or visit the park for boating, picnics and swimming. Also, make sure to visit the Green Lake Small Craft Center.

Our first corgi walk was a lot of fun. Great to meet other corgi owners and share stories. We look forward to future events!

Justin and I are sorry - we won't be making it. We forgot about an outing that we had previously planned - we will look forward to next months walk.

Shaping up to be a great Saturday morning. We meet by the rowing stands by ten am so we can begin walking pretty much right on time. If you are running late, the corgis may start without you because they don't like standing around and waiting. We walk counter clockwise around the lake (the lake on our left), so you can always try to catch us at some point around the lake.
We tend to walk at different speeds, so try to find someone your speed to make friends with. We try to stop for a group photo by the community center.
Remember there is additional parking in Woodland Park by the dog park. There is the option afterwards of going for an offleash romp at this park.
Remember human footwear is highlighted in any corgi photos, so make it interesting.
See you in the morning and have a great drive in.
It's going to be Corgi Cutness Overdrive

Oh Boy -- SPRING! Yep- we'll be there. Bringing Thorgi who has really grown, and his new adopted sister, "Tula"(the first aquawoman). They will be agility and herding partners. She's aussie/large "farm" collie. We needed her for sheep protection and mine; the corgis are showing her how to behave in a corgi frap way. She just doesn't get why they love putting their legs out behind them!

I'm pretty sure we can make it. We'll be bringing our new rescue who's in training to become a corgi. Apollo will have to stay home, as he doesn't walk well these days. :-(
