What is your level of photographic experience (beginner, amateur, pro)?

Started shooting like I meant business back in '68 and went semi-pro in '71 after an apprenticeship with an award winning pro. Attended Brooks Inst for 2 yrs then moved here in '78, where I set up shop as a full-time pro. Was one of the 1st 10 in Colorado to be Certified by PPA. Have been Chief of Photographic Svcs on Diego Garcia and the sole photographer for the "Star Wars" program at Schriever AFB for 4 yrs. Shot over 500 weddings and still lovin' it. Now, am mostly teaching others the specifics of how to purposefully create images that have emotional and visual appeal - consistently - regardless of equipment or genre.

What types of photography do you enjoy (landscape, portrait, sports, macro, etc.)?

Landscapes are the most fun because it means getting out into the great outdoors, often hiking &/or canoeing to the spots and waiting for the right light.

What subjects would you like to learn about (basic photo skills, portraiture, printing, Photoshop, color management, etc.)? If you have a particular skill and would like to offer a workshop to help others learn, please let us know.

Help! I'm stuck in Photoshop and can't find my way out! I have LightRoom but could use some help. Willing to barter what I know for what you know.

What types of group activities would you like to see offered (hikes, model shoots, trips to urban or rural destinations, etc.)?

If only I had time apart from my own classes. (sigh)

How did you find out about us?

Once I found out that the Costco at Barnes and Powers could print exactly what I see on my calibrated monitor - and cheaper than I could at my office - I haven't looked back. For wedding albums I go to the big boys online.

Have been shooting so long and learned so much that it's time to shift focus onto sharing with others. Yes, I still shoot, but mostly for pleasure and to create images that illustrate both how to do it right and how to do it wrong.
