‘A personal journey towards photo-advocacy’

This is FREE and open to the public.
Award-winning photographer and stage 4 colon cancer survivor, Scott Wilson, shares his self-taught love affair with photography, starting in the UK with the ‘camera club years’, tackling multiple genres and ‘breaking through’, before making his dream move to Colorado, in 2015.
A year later, that dream turned nightmare with a stage 4 cancer colon diagnosis that threatened his life and his landscape photography pursuits, due to chemo-induced photosensitivity. So, Scott shot wildlife from the protective shade of his car and turned his new nature portfolio into a platform for cancer advocacy.
One year into remission, Scott is a confirmed wildlife and landscape photographer and donates most of his sales to support colon cancer research and wildlife charities.
A multi-year finalist in the UK Landscape Photographer of the Year, Scott was a resident artist at the Denver Photo Art Gallery in 2017 and named Denver Instagrammer of the Year by Westword magazine. His landscape and wildlife work has featured in various Colorado media including 5280 magazine, Denver Life, 303 Magazine, Denver 9News, CBS Denver and Fox Denver.
