DIY Crafts

NEW** For this upcoming session, if you are interested, I would like to do some DIY linoleum stamps. I will have one set of carving tools and a block to carve (for myself).

If you would like to try this out, I will ask you guys to purchase your own linoleum block (the soft, pink version is preferable for first-time), a design to try out, and if you really want, purchase your own carving set.

I got mine at Michael's for an okay price, but I would recommend looking online for better deals (I was on a bit of a last-minute rush for another project). I'm only asking since I will only have ONE tool on hand. Obviously we can share, but if this is something of larger interest to you, I would suggest checking it out (for example, here is Amazon's: )

(Check out for a huge list of ideas and techniques )

Once again, CLP-Brookline hosts DIY Crafts for adults! Come join many creative minds and create something new with your own two hands. It can be anything from knitting to cross stitch, from painting to paper crafts, and so on. The possibilities are unlimited, it's up to you to decide what you want to create! Make it for yourself or for someone else as a gift (don't handmade gifts have more sentimental value than bought one?), or just make something for fun.

Basic supplies will be available, along with coffee, tea, and water for refreshments and bakery goodies for snacks. (We have two very good bakeries close by, Party Cake Shop and Kribel's Bakery! Check them out!) Feel free to bring your own drinks as well!

I will be sharing ideas up until the meet up day, but I want you guys to pitch in anything that comes to mind. Feel free to ask me what I have on hand that I could provide for you.

ALSO! This is for all ages of adults and nobody is obligated to participate in the projects if you would like to bring your own work. I've had members come in to make their own notebooks, cross stitching pieces, and crochet before, please feel welcome to bring in any materials or projects you would like to do.

Feel free to message me with any questions, I will do my best to answer and accommodate to all of your inquiries. :)

Although I am a fan of linocuts, is it ok if I scrapbook?
