This is hosted by Tim Morgan, Organizer of Orlando Spiritual Topics Book Club. He asked if I could post to our group to get some opposing views. I usually go, but can't make it this month. If you can read the book, that will make it better, but if you don't have time I am sure you can still discuss the book based on feedback from members who have read the book.
CS Lewis and Sigmund Freud are perhaps two of the greatest known theist and atheist. Although their lives overlapped, they were a generation apart and never directly interacted. They did however both write about God, Love, Sex, and the Meaning of Life, at times even directly commenting on the other's work. Therefore, it is pretty easy for someone familiar with their work to compile their views on the same subjects into a debate format.
That is what Dr. Armand Nicholi, associate clinical professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School has done. This material was originally compiled for an elective class at Harvard University. Due to the incredible popularity of the course though, Dr. Nicholi has offered it to the world in book format.
This be a really interesting book to discuss!
