No deities. No divine providence. No predeterminism. This is it. Religion? My stance? I wish I knew. My emotions towards religion vary based on my mood. Intrinsically I wish there were no religion. I would like to believe that we would be better off without it. But there are these nagging feelings that it's not possible, that some people are simply unable to have peace of mind with the absence of some sort of religion. Is it a biological necessity? I do feel having a sense of belonging is a biological necessity and many religious groups provide this (so do gangs) so in the absence of a religious community, gang or whatever I think having the opportunity to gather with freethinkers for social, political, educational or humanitarian purposes is essential.
I don't know but it rocks!
Create a visible entity in Deltona representing an alternative for the Non Religious to be socially and civicly engaged.
I am very happy to know there are like minded free and critical thinkers in the area and just greatly pleased with all the events that have taken place so far. There are so many people to meet and converse with but there is plenty of time....
