It isnt Cross-Cultural, but a worthwhile cause none the less.

When I took this group over earlier this year I told you all my idea was more of a exploring different aspects of other cultures and less Cross-Cultural Night at (Fill in the Name of The Bar). But a good cause is a good cause-some of you have probably seen this on a few other meetups-but just in case, straight from the NightLife meetup Page, It just so happens that a friend of hers has a father that is currently being treated for cancer at Metro. The Chemotherapy Room at the hospital is pretty sparse, with no working TV's, DVD players, or any other form of entertainment for the patients, who often have to spend up to *6* HOURS or more getting their difficult and painful treatment. The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide such equipment to the hospital, in order to make the patients more comfortable. It might seem like a small thing, but I'm sure it would mean a lot to the chemo patients. So how's the event work? Pretty simple. There's no cover charge, so you just show up, eat, and drink! Think of it as a typical Meetup, but with a GREAT purpose. I also hear that there are door prizes to be had. P.J. McIntyre's will be donating 15% of the night's profit to the cause. The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m., so feel free to show up at any point during those hours. Hope to see you all there! I greatly encourage anyone who is out and about this Friday night, not Saturday as I originally said, to stop by and have a few drinks and maybe something to eat. And as someone pointed out its an Irish Bar, so kind of Cross-Cultural.
