Tell us about yourself (professionally). What technical leadership experience do you have already?

JUnit because it was my first :) (but I'm using Rspec right now)

What languages/frameworks do you program in (Java, .NET, PHP, Ruby, etc.)? What is your favorite, if different?

Ruby (mostly in Rails), Java (mostly struts, and tapestry back in the day!). Have had fun C experiences in X11, and modifying freeradius (a AAA application). Love firmware/hardware but don't get much time to play with that anymore. I miss my EEPROM burner :(

What topics might you be interested in?

Selection of technology for different projects? What architectures work for what projects? Real case examples of projects and how they developed and what we can learn from that.

Do you have any specific areas of expertise? Would you be willing to share it with the group?

How to find developers. Working with mixed remote and local teams (same timezone only). How to interview. How to scope, message and broadcast your job opportunity. How to think about what you want vs what you can afford.

What is your favorite version control system and why?

Git because it wasn't the first :)

Introduction

Hello, I'm the CTO of a digital agency 10speedlabs, also Dream Staffing (finds and screens South American developers, designers etc), a recruitment company Elm Talent (local talent), and having fun refactoring the ruby jobs board rubynow.com.
