Tell us about yourself (professionally). What technical leadership experience do you have already?

I signed up with my [masked] account and want to connect my professional account ([masked]). So I'm recapping a bit of my original membership: Developer for 10+ years, across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, web-based: PHP, .net, Java). CEO and CTO of Dom & Tom, a digital development agency in New York, Chicago, Venice Beach. We have 40+ employees, and unite the disciplines of UX-UI, Web, and Mobile alongside PM and QA. Launched 200+ web experiences, and 68+ mobile applications.

What languages/frameworks do you personally program in (Java, .NET, PHP, Ruby, etc.)? What is your favorite, if different?

PHP (5, Laravel, Composer), node.js, Ruby on Rails, Objective-C, prefer AngularJS (CSS3, HTML5). Some C# / .net and Java infrequently, and MySQL though I've worked within MS SQL.

What topics might you be interested in?

Lessons learned in process of technical teams; new technologies that are being utilized (i.e. Neo4J for graph-based database) to iterate on existing infrastructure

Do you have any specific areas of expertise? Would you be willing to share it with the group?

Managing Team's as a Tech Lead, both in Waterfall and Agile (Scrum) methodologies. Strong knowledge of Bitcoin. Strong knowledge of emerging technologies such as front-end frameworks (i.e. AngularJS, Backbone Marionette) and application platforms Oculus Rift, Google Glass from both a mobile application and web services stand-point. Yes, would definitely share process, and technical insight.

How did you hear about our meetup?

Git, though I've used SVN and Mercurial. We use Kiln (from FogBugz) using Git. Utilizing git-flow process, it's the most flexible, distributed, headless, fastest to learn version control system out there. Not to mention Github and Bitbucket both support its innovatin.
